Visa accelerates efforts to end acai scams

The most appropriate way to hit the highly prevalent free acai trial scammers is to hurt their pockets! Visa cut off over 100 acai scammers who used bogus marketing techniques (rather: tricks) to dupe consumers is a big step taken in the right direction!

While signing up for a free acai offer, what the customer misses to see is the tiny print buried in some pages of the website that makes him eligible to receive a monthly auto shipment of the acai product. Finally when they realize that their account is being dented every month for something which they actually do not need, they try to cancel this auto subscription! This is usually very difficult and often impossible.

Visa, the BBB, the FTC and celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and Rachel Ray among others, are doing their part to prevent these scams from flourishing further. However, it takes well-informed and alert public to root these scammers out completely. Before buying any acai product online, do a good research and check if the company is listed on the BBB for any complaints. Avoid any free offers as they invariably will cost you a lot in the long run!
