Tissa Godavitarne and GDI is a Win Win Combination

March 31st 2009

You have probably heard or Tissa Godavitarne and his Affiliatize Program and may be wondering if this is a legitimate program to start a business with. I know that I had the same thoughts about his program as well.

I have been in and out of different online businesses for the last three years and have grown weary of most of them. When I stumbled across this one through a recommendation of a friend I thought it sounded too good to be true. So I started slowly and found out it is as good as the promises say it is.

You don’t have to spend a lot of money and time to make this program work; in fact, Tissa Godavitarne will set you up for free and give you a month of advertising without cost just to see the potential in making money. The only thing you would have to provide is a domain name and a hosting account. Of course with Tissa’s Afffiliatize Program you have been given three ways you can choose. Either to put your web page on your own existing hosting account or pay for a hosting account that he provides you with and the third choose is the GDI plan.

Another great money making potential is in having an account with GDI [Global Domains International] which after the free trial is ten dollars a month that won’t break the bank. For the ten dollars a month you receive free hosting and a free domain name. Take a look at what your potential could be with this plan like if you introduce a couple of new recruits then your hosting and domain name are free. Of course, there is a lot more you can achieve with GDI as Tissa has but that is not the scope of this short post.

No matter how you look at it Tissa Godavitarne and GDI is a win win situation for you and your future business.

Moving Cheap ? Ideas to save you Money

March 30th 2009

Moving in this economy can be tricky. Most of us out there are very interested in saving every last penny that we possibly can. Moving is generally down right expensive and can cause a lot of stress. Saving money by moving cheap is simply a must to ensure we can enjoy our new home instead of just being overwhelmed by all the money it took to get there. Here are a few things to do to keep your move cheap.

Move less Stuff

If you are moving cheap than this is the best way to save money. When you move your biggest expense is moving your stuff. You pay a lot to get your belongings from point A to Point B. Call a moving company or self moving truck rentals to get a quote for moving all of your stuff. Now with that quote in hand make a list of your things and how much it would cost to replace them or if you could easily live without it. This will be your biggest indicator of what to sell or give away. The time you spend doing this will be worth it in the end.

Do your own Heavy Lifting

Movers charge a lot for the convenience of loading and unloading the truck for you. If you are moving cheap than do your own heavy lifting. Also skip having your furniture and breakables packed and unpacked for you because it is going to cost a bundle. If you really need the extra help than call in some fevers from family and friends. You could also hire a shout group or some neighborhood kids to help. Then get a rental moving truck or a moving container.

The Role Of The Insurance Intermediary in South Africa

March 30th 2009

Car insurance remains, for many, a ‘grudge purchase’, and difficult economic times have resulted in this sentiment becoming increasingly entrenched amongst South African consumers. Attitudes towards short term insurance intermediaries have, furthermore, not always been positive, with many questioning the value these advisors add.

Prevailing economic conditions have brought the affordability of insurance cover into question for many South Africans. The reduction in disposable income currently being experienced by many households has resulted in consumers deeming their insurance premiums unaffordable and either cancelling their policies or defaulting on payments.

Financial advisors and insurance intermediaries are fully aware of the need to gather all relevant information in terms of the client’s personal and financial circumstances. Working within the financial parameters applicable to each client is something that professional intermediaries are trained to do. Advising clients on affordability is therefore an important aspect of the service offering they provide.

Insurance products purchased directly from insurers, although perceived as both convenient and cost-effective due to the absence of a ‘middle man’, do not always offer comprehensive information in terms of product options and policy structures. A consumer’s ability to make informed insurance purchase decisions is therefore hampered to some extent when buying ‘direct’. Critical information, such as hidden costs in terms of excesses, insured amounts and exclusions (excess charges on a claim, for example, may cost more than an entire year’s insurance premiums) is often not shared.

Another important, and often money-saving, benefit associated with obtaining professional help is that of the support provided in the event of a claim. Intermediaries act as an invaluable ‘go-between’ during the claims process.

It is, however, important that consumers utilise the services of professional financial and insurance intermediaries. The Financial Services Board (FSB) has introduced a number of pre-requisites aimed at ensuring the soundness of the financial services industry in the public interest. These include being suitably qualified, having exemplary records in terms of credit-worthiness and ethical conduct, as well as sufficient operational capacity to provide clients with a professional service. It is therefore important that associated services are derived from FSB registered suppliers.

An affiliation with professional bodies such as the Financial Intermediaries Association (FIA) is also advisable as these institutions are committed to maintaining professionalism within the financial and intermediary sectors.

March 30th 2009

Times are hard ladies and most of us are looking for ways to save money but still enjoy the occasional shopping trip – well a girl needs clothes thats for sure. So if you like designer labels but do not want to spend designer prices on them my advice is head for the Burberry Designer Outlet in Hackney East London

The outlet offers the opportunity to buy this iconic label at a fraction of the normal costs , you can find the famous check there and if you are really lucky pieces from last seasons collections. The Burberry outlet East London is easy to find and can be reached by train, tube, car or bus and as its in east London you could perhaps link a trip to the designer outlet with a stay in London  – there are cheap rates to be found at great west end and more out of town hotels if you take the time to do some research.

Burberry is a great label and was brought back to life by Christopher Bailey after it seemed ti have got lost in chav culture, even Jennifer Anniston wore Burberry for the premiere of her recent film Marley and Me in London and she looked great.  so ladies ( and gents ) get yourself off to the Burberry outlet in East London and bag yourself a bargain !!

Storage Shed for around the house…

March 30th 2009

When you have limited space in and around your home, you may find that it is necessary for you to have an alternative source for storing items. You can use a storage shed for the outside equipment that you have to have. This will be a huge help for anyone that wants to have all of his or her equipment well kept and organized.

A storage shed can be used in just about any area. These sheds are placed in backyards across the globe and are used in many different ways. This is the ideal place for all of your outdoor lawn and garden equipment and tools. If you have a lawn mower or tractor this would be the best place to store them when they are not in use.

You can also use a storage shed for children’s bikes and toys that they will use throughout the year. You can use this space for the bikes but also the scooters, balls, bats, sleds, skateboards, and many others outside toys and accessories that kids like to play with. This would keep the items stored neatly as well as keeping them together in one place for the child to find easily.

Storage sheds can be made from many different materials. There are wood, vinyl and even cedar sheds to decide on. You can choose the one that you like best and that fits your needs better. Once you have your shed, keep it well maintained and it will look nice in any yard for many years to come.

The popularity of 03 telephone numbers continues to escalate.

March 29th 2009

Many United Kingdom organisations are using the relatively new number range that was launched by communications regulator Ofcom in 2007, including:

- The BBC (various 03 numbers throughout the corporation)
- Pioneer (0330 123 1240)
- The Metropolitan Police (0300 123 1212)
- NHS Change4Life (0300 123 3434)
- Comic Relief (03457 910 910)
- Nikon UK (0330 123 0932)
- The British Heart Foundation (0300 330 3311)

The 03 number range is split into 3 main segments:

-0303/0300 numbers for public bodies and charities only.
-0330/0333 numbers for any business or organisation
-03 equivalent numbers for any organisation that already had an 08 number and wants to exchange it for the 03 equivalent (e.g. BBC Radio 1 recently swapped its 08700 100 100 number for 03700 100 100). 03 numbers are an attractive alternative to 08 numbers (0800 numbers, 0845 numbers etc.) because they provide exactly the same call features (call divert, welcome messages etc.) as 08 numbers, but cost individuals the same to call as regular landline numbers, beginning 01 and 02.

This means that organisations can have the huge flexibility that all non-geographic numbers offer and give their callers fantastic value. Crucially, 03 numbers are also included in the free minutes bundles provided by all mobile phone networks, which is important when you consider that 40% of all calls made in the UK are from mobiles (Source: Ofcom 2008).

In fact, according to Ofcom, a notable 70% of people with a mobile and landline say they use their mobile to make some calls even when they are at home – with 10% never using their fixed line! The main reason for this is because they want to use their inclusive minutes. Depending on their deal, mobile phone users can get anything between 100 and 3000 free minutes per month from the major networks (Orange, T-Mobile, O2, and Vodafone). The fact that only 14% of users go over their free allocations means that the majority of the calls they make are free.

So what does this all mean for UK businesses?
Well, if 86% of mobile contract users do not go over their inclusive minutes and around 40% of business calls are from mobiles, then an organisation which uses an 03 number would therefore get around 35% of their total calls from people who are effectively paying nothing for the call. The removal of the call cost barrier will mean that businesses get more sales enquiries.

The major appeal of 03 numbers, combined with the inclusive minutes offered by network providers is making the mobile phone an increasingly good option for consumers. Many are now reaching for their portable hand held device (which comes complete with mp3 player, camera and video recorder) to make calls rather than the traditional ‘dog and bone’ that sits gathering dust in the hallway.

Get It Clear Using a Red Sea Protein Skimmer

March 29th 2009

Everybody recognises there are 100s of alternatives when it comes to buying a protein skimmer for your fish tank. But narrowing your selection down does not have to be a difficult job. First of all, the protein skimmer is among the most important item of equipment you’ll purchase. Don’t skimp on this purchase. Buy the largest, branded, well performing skimmer you are able to afford.

While looking for a protein skimmer keep in mind that a lot of these are overrated for the size fish tank they can handle. It’s recommended that you buy something that can cover more than the size of your aquarium. So for example if you’ve a 50 gallon fish tank, buy a skimmer rated for at least 70 gallons. This will save you many headaches long-term with being forced to buy another skimmer because you purchased one that was too small.

Needlewheel, Venturi, or Beckett? This is a common question and is not really that hard to choose between them. Many people are biased on the different methods and swear by what they’ve used. All of them perform very well if you purchase the right brand.

When you’re ready to take the plunge make certain to research your purchase. Make sure you buy from a reputable company. Keep one’s distance from company’s that mass produce every type of aquarium product available as these products are usually inferior cheaply-made items. Go with a company who specializes in a few products and has proven results. Red Sea for example only produce a small range of skimmers such as the Red Sea Prizm Skimmer and these are all high quality devices.

When organic wastes are deposited into your aquarium, the bacteria in your tank will then turn this waste into nitrogenous matter. This is something that can be extremely harmful to the fish that live in the aquarium and if it is not taken care of it can even be life threatening. The skimmer in your tank can just about get rid of this waste as quickly as it’s formed, which means a a good deal healthier environment for your fish. Skimmers can also be useful in getting rid of other substances that can form in the tank such as carbohydrates, fatty substances, and even elements that can be contained in organic molecules.

Essentially, if you really want to have a successful tank a protein skimmer can be one of the most important purchases you’ll invest in. Protein skimmers are available in a broad range of designs, sizes and prices – the more costly ones require less upkeep and are easier to install. Whatever the case, try to purchase a protein skimmer with a large collection cup. Also remember, the stronger the bubble generator, the more efficient is the protein skimmer.

As a leading innovator and manufacturer of quality products for aquarium hobbyists, Red Sea constantly strives to provide hobbyists of all levels with highly effective solution-driven products designed to make your fish-keeping experience as enjoyable and successful as possible. The Red Sea Protein Skimmer achieves just that.

Looking For Alternative Forms of Energy

March 29th 2009

Record high prices at American gas pumps and continued global strife in the Middle East, Russia, Nigeria, and other areas of importance to the oil-driven economy have made it clear to Americans that we are in need of developing many new avenues of alternative energy. In short, we need to reduce our dependency on oil, for it is ultimately finite and, frankly, the cheap sources of oil (not all oil—just the stuff that is cheap to remove from the earth) are running out.

Energy consultants and analysts are insistent that cheap oil has “peaked” or is very soon going to peak.  What this means for us is an expensive future—unless we can find new sources of powering our mechanized and electronic civilization. In other words, we need alternative energy ideas.

We must also switch to alternative forms of energy because our present forms are too damaging to the atmosphere. While it is still debatable that the global warming trend is sustained by the activities of mankind, we certainly do contribute at present to the destruction of the environment and to things like air pollution with our energy sources as they are.

Coal is another source of energy that we need to wean ourselves off of — again, it is finite, and it is filthy, and the mining of it is dangerous and environmentally disruptive. We can also explore new streamlined methods for producing electricity that we presently generate so much of via hydro-power so that we are less disruptive of the environment when we have need of constructing things such as large dams.

Developing nations which have turned industrialized in recent decades especially will need the benefits of alternative energy research and development, for they are presently doing much more environmental damage than the United States. The United States, Japan, and some European nations have been implementing studies into and programs for the development of alternative energy sources, and are therefore already leading the way in doing less environmental damage.

Developing nations such as China and India need to look to Japan and the West as examples of what research and development to give government backing and private investment currency to. We could also add great robustness to our own economy by being at the forefront of such alternative energy sources development and then marketing the technologies and services to nations like India, China, and Brazil..

Biofuels from things like “supertrees” and soybeans, refined hydroelectric technology, natural gas, hydrogen fuel cells, the further building of atomic energy plants, the continued development of solar energy photovoltaic cells, more research into wind-harnessed power—all of these are viable energy sources that can act as alternatives to the mammoth amounts of oil and coal that we presently are so dependent on for our very lifestyles. The energy of the future is green.
